They're a few of the most popular recipes on my site because they taste very sweet and cozy, exactly like traditional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they include no refined flour or sugar!

Healthy Banana Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Yields: 15 biscuits

The familiar comfy spices and plump raisins make these much more irresistible. They will keep for a minumum of one week if stored in an airtight container in the fridge --should they last long!


1 cup (100g) instant oats (fermented if required and measured like this)

3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or fermented * flour (measured like this)

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder



1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter or coconut oil, melted and cooled slightly



1 teaspoon vanilla extract





In a medium bowlwhisk together the yogurt, milk, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the butter or webpage coconut oil, mashed banana, and vanilla. Add the flour mixture, stirring only until incorporated.

Preheat the oven to 325°F, and line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.

Using a spoon and spatula, drop the cookie dough to 15 rounded scoops on the sheet, and flatten to the desired depth and width by means Banana Oatmeal Cookies - Pinch and Swirl of a spatula. Bake in 325°F for 10-12 minutes. Cool to the pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.

If your raisins are old, drier, and not so plump or juicy... Add them to a microwave-safe bowland put water on top till they're totally covered. Seal plastic wrap over the top, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 second. Should you allow the peppers sit mixing together the cookie dough, then this small hint hydrates them so they're really soft and juicy!
